dream interpretation

"The mind plays tricks, it borrows from everyday life and plays out its own fantasy"

Its been a while since I had a dream that left me still thinking about it come afternoon. In fact its been ages since I dreamt and was able to distinguish the difference between my different dreams instead of having them all jumbled and leaving me confused. Last night - after I finished watching the last of season 2 of Merlin - I found myself falling into a stupor and waking up bright and awake. But my dream still played on my mind. Unsurprisingly I entered the period of Medieval times in Britian and found myself running from assassins, being rescued by a dashing prince, being tried for treason, fighting in battle, practicing magic, before the town was attacked by a fire breathing dragon and my dream pretty much ended like the last episode of Merlin - only just as I was about to lock lips with my prince I got woken. Dont you just hate that? Youre half way through a great dream and then something disturbs you and - try as you might - you cant get back into it. Sure, you can make it up - try and guess what happens next - but its not the same.
I googled "Interpret Dreams" and wrote in a bunch of keywords that summed up my dream. Here's what I got in return:

Chase
To dream that you are being chased, signifies that you are avoiding a situation that you do not think is conquerable. It is often a metaphor for some form of insecurity. In particular, to dream that you are chased by an animal, represents your own unexpressed and unacknowledged anger which is being projected onto that animal. Alternatively, you may be running away from a primal urge or fear.

Medieval
To dream of Medieval times, represents old habits/attitudes and old ways of thinking. It is important to analyze the activities that occur in the dreams so that you will find out what aspect of yourself or your life that needs updating.

Battle
To be in or see a battle in your dream, suggests that you are overworked. You need to give yourself a break. There is a conflict between your rational thinking and your irrational impulses. Alternatively, it represents eroticism. You may be overly stimulated or you are trying to suppress your instinctual urges.

Prince
To see a prince in your dream, signifies honor and recognition will be bestowed upon you. Alternatively, it indicates your wishes for romance and meeting that Prince Charming

Magic
To perform or dream of magic, suggests that you need to look at things from a different view or approach problems from a new angle in order to successfully move forward. Alternatively, magic symbolizes creativity and wonder. Perhaps someone or something has caused you to be in awe. The dream may also be a metaphor that you are "up to some trick".
