Whatever You Are, be a Good One
Life, in all of its reality, IS what you make it. Although your ideas of what is good or bad, right or wrong, success or failure, etc derive greatly from what you are taught as a child and your experiences in life, we as humans were all born with an innate sense of inner freedom. We are free to choose who we are, what we believe, and which paths we will follow. People can be somewhat classified into two very basic categories, which can later be extensively classified to individuals. The first of these two basic categories, however, are those who live life without questioning what they have been told, their personal beliefs, their interests, country, and even who they should be. The second basic category of people are those who choose to recognize and embrace their freedoms as people to question all of these things and even their own thoughts- to ponder everything, love what they choose, and believe something. Of course, of these “free spirits,” there will be some very righteous people, and there will be those who indulge in evil. Then again, there are also those who have a sense of righteousness and evil- a balanced conscious.I do not care about materialistic things.Just because “society,” in all of their closed mindedness, has set these dark standards for value, virtue, and success, does not mean I have to agree, or even choose to follow a path driving me towards one. Who ever decided that we should work hard for the first half of our lives just to work hard the second half of our lives. Who decided that our main purpose in life should not be to fulfill our divine purposes in life, but to miserably conform to society and slave our lives away to earn the most money and expensive possessions? When we pass away from life, I’m not sure how it exactly happens, but I know that whatever tangible things you own will not follow you. Whatever financial or materialistic successes you earn throughout life will not be valued where your spirit goes. On the other hand, we are on this planet, for whatever reason, for the entire time we call LIFE. In the harshness of reality and our society, we need food, shelter, and comfort. To play this game and go along with the routines that many people are only aware of is not wrong. Our world as we know it grew to being how it is for reasons unknown, but the only way to remain grounded and sane is to go with the flow of it. It is just necessary to find balance. Set goals in many areas of life. Balance work and play. Balance materialism and spiritualism. Ask for, wait for, and look for people in your life who can contribute to your life, in all aspects, positively. You are in charge of defining your own success, and what success means to you. My hope is for the people of the world to come together in enlightenment and seek lives well lived and time well enjoyed, while still leaving their mark on the earth by embracing their talent and fulfilling their true purposes.
