Alex Pettyfer is Jace Wayland

For anyone who is a big fan of The Mortal Instruments books, I'm sure you have heard of Alex Pettyfer. He is everyone's top pick to play Jace Wayland in the upcoming movie. I haven't been very secretive with showing how much I love this 20 year old British actor. Sure, OK the dudes only been in like 4 things, 6 if you include his new films "I Am Number 4" and "Beastly" but the guy defines beautiful. He's gorgeous, and can even pull off the skinhead look. I really think this is going to be his year to break out and get known.

Being the bookworm that I am I read all of Anthony Horowitz's "Alex Rider" books so I was more than excited when the first in the series "Stormbreaker" was to be made into a movie. I was even more excited when I saw who was playing him. Since Stormbreaker (which was back in 2006), Alex has gone on to star in films such as "Wild Child" as Freddie and starred alongside Emma Roberts. He was in the film "Tormented" as Bradley which is based on a kid who dies but then comes back and haunts his bullies. I managed to watch it online and had to admit it wasn't amazing. Luckily though Alex's acting is great and seems to be getting better with age which was probably why he got cast as the lead in this years film "Beastly" which co stars Vanessa Hudgens and Mary Kate Olsen.

I've read the book by Alex Finn of which it is based on and, frankly, Hudgens and Olsen better be damn good because I don't want this to fail. That said the dude has a pretty buff bod and devilish handsome good looks. I hope Beastly and I Am Number 4 does well as many of his films haven't been much of a success, because the world needs some new eye candy. As far as him playing Jace Wayland, he still hasn't made up his mind if he's going to play our favorite shadowhunter or not. But we do know that he was offered the role and everyone including me is checking online everyday for any news regarding his decision to take the role or not. In a interview he did recently he was asked about staring in The Mortal Instruments movie and his response was that he wasn't sure and its really up to the fans. He wanted his fans to hit the blogs, twitter, anything to get out the word about what we wanted.

Well if its begging he wants, its begging he will get. I really can't see anyone else playing Jace except for Alex and I really hope he decides to do it. So please Alex take the role and don't let down the millions of fans who will be crushed if you say no. Okay so I just wanted to do a quick post on this and tell everyone what I think. If your a fan of The Mortal Instruments and want Alex to play Jace tweet about it, blog about it do whatever you can to get the word out and if you don't think Alex should play Jace well no one cares what you think. Kidding, Kidding. Kinda.
