I wasn't going to bother watching the Teen Choice Awards, instead I was going to catch up with the highlights on Youtube, I told myself I did not want to sit around for an hour and a bit and watch the cast of Twilight win everything. But I ended up watching it anyway and, of course, every single category that featured an actor from the Twilight movies, won. I'm beginning to believe Twilight fans just sit like zombies at their computers and click vote and then refresh and vote again. Get a life. The only good things that came out of the night were the worthy winners The Vampire Diaries who went home with like 6 awards, well they got something like that. That infuriating show Glee was mentioned a lot as well as that annoying boy who everyone is obsessed with, Justin Bieber. No. I do not have, and never will have, "Bieber Fever." Ugh, even typing it I feel ashamed. Channing Tatum won something finally, and Megan Fox won choice female hottie, which was sort of obvious, and no I will not comment on who one choice "Male Hottie" Ian Somerhalder should have been holding that surfboard, not you Lautner! Apparently
JAYSOONN DERULOOOOO performed as well as Katy Perry and some other "gangstaa" crew that I cant remember the name of. I've said that until Twilight is over and done with I kinda refuse to watch the Teen Choice Awards anymore, don't get me wrong I like twilight but I'm getting sick of hearing about it. I seriously feel sorry for other actors in the same categories because you know you dont have a chance of winning. Just 2 more years and then it'll all be over, and everyone can return to their lives, Twilight free.
Something else that I kind of want to write about is a series of books called "The Mortal Instruments" by American author Cassandra Clare. Now this is what everyone should be going mad over. If you dont know about the novels (shame on you) then I'll give you a little backstory. The three novels: City of Bones, City of Ashes and City of Glass all center around a 16 year old girl called Clary Fray who lives in New York, until her world gets turned upside down when she returns home one night to find her mother gone and a demon ready to bite her head off. Soon, she finds herself thrust into the world of Shadowhunters, and finds herself falling in love with one in particular, the golden hair god Jace
-sigh-. I'm kinda painting the novels poorly here, but you just need to know they define the word: amazing. Seriously, Twilight eat your heart out. But anyway, just moments ago I discovered that not only is Cassandra Clare writing another book to follow City of Glass, but she's writing TWO MORE! Oh yeahhh! Apparently The Mortal Instruments is now going to be a six, SIX, part series. I pretty much screamed the house down. I already knew a forth would occur but now we get two more, TWO MORE! Two more fat novels full of Jace. Its like Christmas has come early :D Unfortunetly we wont be seeing City of Lost Souls and City of Heavenly Fire until 2012, and 2013. But I can wait, I think... I'm determined to read the Infernal Devices by her, which are like a prelude to the Mortal Instruments to keep my mind occupied. You should definitely check the books out, you won't be disappointed.
