I'm feeling content today. I'm totally aware that I haven't updated in a while, mostly because of school. Despite feeling all loved up don't you think V/Day has become seriously overrated? I cant remember making this much fuss last year...
Two days ago I sent off my first query letter + manuscript and now my nerves are anywhere. Granted they say they'll get back to you (if they do) in 6/8 weeks. Everytime I think about it I feel sick. The fact that someone is reading my work. I'm paranoid that I've done something wrong, or I've missed something totally obvious like a misspelt word :/ Come yesterday afternoon I quickly sent off another two, and today I've sent a further six. So nine altogether. I'm praying someone, somewhere gets back to me with positive feedback. So because of all of that I haven't had chance to blog anything decent - not saying this is decent mind you. I watched the latest episode of Vampire Diaries on Thursday - I swear I'm addicted to that show or something, it's slightly unhealthy - and now we have to wait 6 weeks before the next episode. I'm slightly pissed at that, I mean don't get me wrong the Olympics are interesting and all, but I think I'd prefer to watch a shirtless Stefan Salvatore, but maybe thats just me. Questions are still coming in to my formspring, only a problem has occured. Someone asked me to make a fansign and I said OK, and then I guess people saw this and now my formspring inbox has been filled with nothing but "can you make me a sign etc..." so I've decided I'm not making any. I've gotten up to 60 requests and basically I do not have the time, nor do I want to waste it, making sign after sign after sign (just think of all the paper I'm wasting, the poor trees...) I'm not being mean I'm just being realistic there's no way I can make all of them, it's just another task for me to tackle and, well, let's be honest, I don't really need to tackle it. I think that's it for now. I think. Yes. Sorry it was short and, undoubtedly, full of grammatical errors and rambling nonsense but my heads not really with it at the moment so this will have to make do...
