City Of Bones

Gahh!! Its been so long!! I do apologize deeply! But on to more important news, the City of Bones movie has had lots of casting news in the last few weeks so I thought I would do a quick post about it. Last time I posted something about the film they only had cast Jace and Clary. I've made my thoughts about Jamie and Lily clear many times, so on to the rest of the cast. My favorite casting so far probably would be Kevin Zegers who was recently cast to play Alec. Loved him on gossip girl and movies like Transamerica and Frozen. He's just super cute and is a great actor I can't wait to see him bring Alec alive on the big screen. Oh and really loving Robert Sheehan who was cast as the forever lovable Simon, he was pretty darn fantastic in Misfits and I think he'll make a great Simon. Also joining the cast is Jemima West, I haven't really seen anything from her but shes super gorgeous just like Izzy and Godfrey Gao was cast as Magnus who is one of my favorite characters from the book. He looks the part now I just hope he can act the part(dont let me down Godfrey!). Other actors joining the cast include Lena Headey(Game of Thrones,aaaaamaaazing!!),Jared Harris(Mad Men)and Aidan Turner(Being Human). So overall I'm very pleased with this cast and can't wait for the film to come out next year. Seriously the first time I get to see the trailer I might die! I'll have an ambulance near by just in case kidding...maybe.

Ceremonials

In love with Florence + The Machine's newest album Ceremonials. Can't...Stop...Listening. Seriously amazing! Best album yet! Not sure how she's going to top this one. I'll get to hear that wonderful voice of hers in person in September. Can't wait.

Jace is in There Somewhere After All

There's been a lot of hate since Jamie Campbell Bower was cast to be the sarcastic, sexy blonde shadowhunter, Jace Wayland *drool*. Truthfully at first I also had my doubts about him but I chose to give him a chance and the last few months I've just been darn right happy that he was cast. I know almost everyone had their sights set on a certain actor *cough* Alex Pettyfer cough* as did I but the dude turned it down, so I say wish him luck and move on. He obviously didn't want the role and Jamie wholeheartedly does. We all learned a few weeks ago that Jamie started some serious training to prepare for the role which got me pretty damn excited because that was my only real concern. The boy definitely has the acting chops and now that he will have the look down too I'm completely on board. Cassandra Clare tweeted this photo of Jamie and I have to say he's looking lovely and very *Jace like*. I approve.

Talk About No Updates

This week has been 100% crazy, why? I've spent the past few days in a tent in the middle of nowhere at a music festival with a bunch of friends, resulting in absolutely zero updates form yours truly. And yes I could update via my phone but I hate doing that. This post is just a sort of i'm-still-alive-and-updates-will-be-soon sorta thing.But now I'll leave you after that short post, I'm heading out to see the old American Pie gang in "AMERICAN REUNION" later on tonight (around 9ish) but before the friends and I are going to do a little shopping and catch a bite to eat, so I gotta get ready and now I've been told its raining so bang goes my straightened hair, I think I might just stick it all up and cram a hat on top. Meh. Maybe.

Gleek

I recently started watching Glee because I had to write an article on it for work and now I can proudly say I'm a gleek. I usually can't stand musicals on tv they make my head want to explode. But not this, I have to say its pretty darn fantastic, sure it can be over the top sometimes but that's what makes it fun. I got my roommie obsessed too, you're welcome. I'm not quite caught up yet haven't had enough time. And seriously how cute is Blaine? Freaking Adorable. If you've seen the show let me know what you think, email me here or on tumblr. I'm Alyssa I live in Ohio but I'm from San Diego/L.A California. I can't sleep without my dogs. I have trouble speaking English half the time and I fall on my face at least once a day. I always sleep with my t.v on. I'm obsessed with True Blood.My hair is naturally blonde. Everything on my iTunes has to have artwork, has to! I love music more than anything and I have mastered the art of air guitaring. I'm becoming less photogenic as time passes and when I want something really want something - I don't give up until I have it. People have to try really hard for me to like them because I don't trust people easily.I have the weirdest taste in music, my dvd's have to be in alphabetical order. I'm pretty much as awkward as it gets. Who are you?

Guy Crush of The Week

I haven't done one of these in forever but this guy is giving me the nudge i needed to bring it back. My new guy crush of the week is USA's White Collar star Matt Bomer. He's gotta be one of the sexiest men on this planet! He recently came "out of the closet" yes he's gay. *a collective sigh from all my woman readers*. Doesn't mean we can't admire from afar ladies. Can't wait to see him in the upcoming movie Magic Mike where he portrays a male stripper *Matt Bomer half naked* yes please!

Coffee and Freckles

I haven't done a long, well written, blog entry in a while. I'm so sorry to my readers but I've been so busy with everything. So let me tell you where my heads at. Personally - right now - I'm hungry but overall I'm pretty cool with life. The only problem is work. I know a few days ago work was going oh so well I'm so up and down. Its just very overwhelming sometimes and it's frustrating because I don't like feeling that I'm not giving something my all. Especially when it has to do with writing. Its been so time consuming with working on my book and volunteering at the school, the modeling, and the radio show, that it seems work is coming last when it comes to importance. I get it all done though - I make sure of it. I'm sort of OCD about things like that, I've got to get everything done. The money is great, but thats never been an issue. And when it comes to my social life well, I don't really have one anymore. I don't know why I bother trying - now is not the time to be trying to hang out with friends or have any fun. But hey whats life without a little stress!? and today my life has been filled with it. The last couple of weeks I've been helping amber find a job and thats been stressful to the maxx, I'll just say sometimes being her roomate is not the easiest thing. It seems that I can never find her anything thats good enough for her and shes doing even worse.
 But this morning I headed to starbucks. Mmm... a caramel frap and a cookie made the day look suddenly better. And then I saw it. A sign above the cute boy who always works there. A simple sign that made my heart race."Vacancy. Apply at counter for details". I didnt even wait to finish my cookie, jumping up just in case someone else had spotted it, I wound my way to the, thankfully, quiet counter and leaned over it. The cute boy with the freckles looked at me and smiled. "Can I help you?"I pointed at the sign, "Is there still a vacancy?" I asked, hoping it hadnt already been filled. Freckles smiled at me, nodding. Today was the day, smiling uncontrollably half because of the job and half because freckles was busy flirting with me as I filled out an application the best I could for her . He took it, skimmed it and smiled."We'll probably get in contact in the next few days - we've had a few other people to consider." And that was that. No "this looks promising, she has a pretty good chance". Nope. Just, like always, "we'll contact her." Having no choice but to turn away, I smiled one last time, said, "thanks" and headed out into the rain. But whatever at least I don't have my roommate to worry about for a while. Well hopefully, fingers and toes crossed, she might have some luck after all. Although I really cant imagine her working in Starbucks, making coffee and whatnot... maybe I wont tell her just yet... Lets wait and see how it goes. Later Freaks.
